This week I was trying to edit the lines on the css code in dream weaver about 1 hr into it I started to feel it, however for the most part I still feel on noob status. Hopefully this week I can plug away at it some more and whenever my book from amazon gets here my life will be a lil more easy in the web world.

Formal Experiments

Bow to lynda.com

http://www.lynda.com/

This site has it going on well for dreamweaver at least I am starting to feel my warm and fuzzy coming back.

I got this a little to late I already made my formal experiments for the week which I feel so so on hopefully things will come together soon.

The ongoing QUEST

This is the link to a tutorial site I came across during the weekend it seemed ok to start off with I remember when I had a good warm and fuzzy about web now i am a complete NOOB!!

http://www.tutoriallounge.com/2009/07/complete-basic-adobe-dreamweaver-cs4-tutorials/

So I have been on this quest to try to relearn dreamweaver since the last time I actually used it macromedia still owned it in like 2004. This week for me it was about trying to just get the feel again and hope it all comes back soon, if not I think I am just going to fork over the $20.00 and get the book from Amazon.

Top 3 from the list

http://www.manystuff.org/?cat=1

http://everyoneforever.com/

These are my top three sites from the list on the hand out They all appeal to me for different reasons, http://www.materialized.org/ was for the color and the wow factor that I got as soon as the page loaded. With http://www.manystuff.org the site was clean and easy to navigate through appealed to me the information was easy to locate and well organized. Last but not least http://everyoneforever.com/ honestly I was not into the layout as much however the header was fun to scroll my mouse over which was inviting enough for me to keep researching the site.

Intro Web 2.0

I think my take for what makes a good website changes from topic to topic. Some sites need a flash-based cartoon style, and some need a more traditional style that allows the person to work more with the site itself as opposed to just letting it run like a small cartoon. My eye gears more towards the fun site that requires more investigation by the user and is not so flash heavy. I am into text scale and rollovers. and when there is a lot of mouse interaction involved on the site. My strategy for this class is to keep digging into what I like and don’t like during my weekly site surfing as well as try new things with my weekly experiments. I hope to become a better web designer and gain the confidence that I have in print in the web world as well.
